Wow! I can’t say enough good about this place! Brought my older miniature dachshund and tried a few beers. Incredible space for dogs and humans to hang out. Beer selection is broad and impressive. You will find something you like. Canine children can play in the dog park, sit with you inside or out while you drink/eat. What else could you want?
Don’t go to Sun King, the fat, white guy up front will tell you dogs aren’t welcome. Go here.
The dog park can get a little ridiculous in the evenings, but that is more on irresponsible owners than the brewery. The drinks are fantastic and the employees are friendly and personable. Well worth a stop if you are in the area.

This is a MUST go to place for you to hang out with your dog while enjoying some great beer! We had the best time hanging out inside and outside at Metazoa Brewing Company with our dog. They have a large indoor space with multiple places to chill for large to small groups. They do not serve food however they have a food truck outside. They also allow you to bring in your own food. The beer styles range from malty to light to hoppy. We enjoyed a flight of beer each inside. Each beer was delicious. After we ate, we grabbed a pint each and went outside with our pup to their huge dog park. They have heaters in the dog park to stand under if it is cold outside. We all had a great time. Please check them out! They donate 5% of all their profits to animal nonprofits.
Pretty disappointed in the service. Bartender was rude when I told her I go round for round and don’t keep a tab open. At no point asked if we were looking for anything in particular. I’ll by the beer at the stores or retailers and get better customer service! I’ll hit Texas Roadhouse and get better customer service any day! Plus their mug club looks like a kindergarten classroom project, piss poor.
Hands down my favorite brewery, even before I became a dog mom I would frequent Metazoa. Now that I have a high energy and super social pug I'm here more than once a week. Their mug club membership is totally worth it. Their reward system is top tier, I'm actually able to rack up points pretty quickly without even trying. Chill atmosphere for the most part, does tend to get busy on the weekends. My pups and I love coming here!!!
If you have a great dog and love beer and bbq, then this is the place for you! We were able to let our pup play in the dog park for a while. Then we headed inside to cool off and eat some delicious BBQ. Afterwards, we headed back out for some more play time. This place had amazing employees, great beer, and wonderful guests. Highly recommend if you enjoy dogs!
Only Brewery I’ll go to while visiting Indianapolis! Not only do you get to enjoy great beer and amazing service, but the place is dog friendly!
I usually go when my favourite bartender Yo is in, she always has the best recommendations based on how I am feeling. She’s always nice and inviting.
